Rams Blank #3 Embry-Riddle 3-0

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team blanked 3rd-ranked Embry-Riddle 3-0 in NAIA soccer action Saturday evening.

Mobile (4-1-1) next play in Orange Beach Friday, Sept. 24 at 7 pm versus Northwood University (TX).

The Rams controlled tempo all game, out shooting ERAU 19-7 for the game and 11-2 in the second half. Goalkeeper Jason Williams finished with a 3-save shutout for the Rams, while Embry's Kile Kennedy made 5 saves and allowed 3 goals.

Onesimus Ikungo started the scoring in the 12th minute when he took a long pass from Stephen Okai and found the back of the net after Kennedy collided with a teammate and could not recover.

Sam Blackburn added a 1st-half goal in the 34th minute when he put home a rebound after Eoin Dolan's shot was stopped.

As the Rams continued to apply pressure in the final 45 minutes, Ikungo added the capper in the 89th minute when he intercepted the ball from Embry-Riddle about 24 yards out and blasted it right down the middle.
