#22 Lady Rams Blast Shorter 3-0

MOBILE, Ala-- The 22nd-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team blanked Shorter University 3-0 Friday evening.
Mobile (5-3-1) next plays at West Florida October 5 at 7 pm.
The Lady Rams out shot Shorter 19-5 and Lorna Brownlie made three saves in goal to finish with the shutout for Mobile.
Rebekah Counce got the scoring started in the 10th minute, when Shorter goalkeeper Taylor Hays tried to clear the ball, but instead kicked it off Counce into the goal.
Mobile added a pair in the second half from the Lachappelle sisters.
Ashley Lachappelle scored on a header in the 50th minute, when Missy Stovall flicked a free kick from Anna Maddox into the box, and Lachappelle then found her sister Christy Lachappelle in front of the goal in the 65th minute to clinch the scoring.
