UMobile Volleyball Falls To No. 11 Embry-Riddle

SAVANNAH, Ga-- The University of Mobile volleyball team closed out the SCAD Invitational by falling 0-3 (12-25, 22-25, 16-25) to 11th-ranked Embry-Riddle Saturday.
Mobile (12-11) will visit NCAA II University of West Florida Tuesday at 7 pm.
Kelly Sherling led Mobile with 14 kills, hitting .158. Melody Tenney led with 14 assists, while Kaylle McGrew added 11 assists and 10 digs. Katy McCollister led the team with 12 digs.
While holding the Lady Rams to a .090 attack percentage, Embry-Riddle hit an impressive .337 as a team, whle Abby Hall led with 13 kills and Taylor Martin added 10. Adriana Vazquez led with 34 assists.
The first set was all Embry, after the Lady Eagles jumped ahead 7-0 and then turned an 11-5 game into a 22-7 game with an 11-2 run.
Mobile bounced back from a 7-3 deficit in the second set with a 5-0 run thanks to a pair of kills from Sherling. The teams traded points from there until Mobile used a 4-1 run to take a 22-20 lead. But, ERAU took the final five points, with the last three coming on Mobile errors.
The final set was like the first, with ERAU taking early control and then using a late 5-1 run to help finish it off.
