Rams Take West Florida To OT; Fall 2-3

PENSACOLA, Fla-- The 10th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team battled NCAA-II University of West Florida to overtime Thursday, but fell 2-3 to the Argos.

Mobile (10-3-2, 2-0-1) will next play at conference foe Auburn University-Montgomery Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 3 pm.

The Rams actually had to rally from two goals down to force overtime, and they did that, tallying a pair of second-half goals after UWF jumped ahead 2-0 in the opening half.

Deshorn Brown started the comeback for Mobile with a goal in the 53rd minute off an assist from Chris Dillon, when he went low to beat the goalkeeper.

Mobile kept the pressure on and got the equalizer on an own goal in the 76th minute. But, West Florida wasted little time in the first OT period, as Nick Salafrio tallied the game-winner in the 91st minute, after teammate Jack Salafrio found him all alone in the left side of the 18-yard box.

West Florida held a slim 13-12 lead in shots, after out shooting Mobile 7-1 in the opening 45 minutes. Kyle Buxton made 2 saves in goal for Mobile.
