Rams Fall By 12 At NCAA-I Nicholls State

THIBODAUX, La-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team visited NCAA-I Nicholls State in exhibition action Thursday evening and fell 60-72.
Brock Dockery led four Rams in double-figures with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double. He hit 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
Ji Kimbrough hit 8-of-8 free throws and added 15 points, Donte Walker chipped in 11 points and Matthew Turner finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.
Anatoly Bose led Nicholls State with a 31-point effort while shooting 9-of-11 from the charity stripe.
Both teams shot 39% from the floor, but Mobile turned the ball over 26 times, compared to only 11 turnovers for the home team.
Dockery gave Mobile a short lived 3-0 lead to open the game, but Nicholls State scored the next 14 points, as Mobile went scoreless over the next 6:29.
The Rams answered that 14-0 run with a 12-2 run to cut the lead to 16-15 with 6:04 left in the opening period, as Dockery drained three more 3-pointers. But, Nicholls rebounded and took a 31-21 lead into the break.
The closest Mobile got in the final half was 53-46 with 9:52 remaining on a pair of free throws from Walker, but Nicholls scored the next five points and held a double-digit lead the rest of the game.
Mobile (0-1) hosts Vorhees College Saturday, Nov. 6 at 3 pm.
