MONTICELLO, ARk-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team held off NCAA-II University of Arkansas-Monticello 66-65 at the 4th Annual Dr. Mary Jane Gilbert Classic Friday.

Mobile (4-2) will battle Ouachita Baptist Saturday, Nov. 27 at 12 pm on the final day of the tournament.

The Lady Rams had four players post double figures in scoring, led by 18 points from Alyssa Lane on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Alice Honnery equaled that 7-of-11 mark and put up 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks. Allison Michael added 13 points and Adrienne Mackay finished with 10 points and 7 boards.

Mobile shot 7-of-14 from the 3-point line and 53% overall to overcome 31 turnovers.

UAM led 6-4 on a 3-pointer only 3:42 into the game, but Mobile answered with a 3-ball from Allison Michael to take a 7-6 lead, and the Lady Rams never trailed the rest of the half.

The score was tied a couple of times, but with it knotted up 18-18 with 7:20 left in the half, Mobile scored eight straight points to take command, before taking a seven-point lead into the break.

Mobile used an early 20-8 run in the second half to take a 17-point lead and seemingly take control of the game, but the Cotton Blossoms made a run. With the Lady Rams up 55-38 with 7:55 left, UAM went on a 22-5 run to tie it up 60-60 with 2:22 remaining on a layup from LaChasity Seale. The teams traded leads from there, before UAM grabbed a 65-64 with 34 seconds remaining a pair of free throws from Jasmine Rush.

Chelsea Johnson missed a pair of free throws with 8 seconds left and then Mackay won it for Mobile with a pair of free throws with only one tick left on the clock.
