Lady Rams Beat Brewton-Parker By Ten

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team rallied past Brewton-Parker 86-76 in NAIA action Friday evening at Pharr Gym.
Mobile (5-3) hosts Brenau University Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2 pm.
Adrienne Mackay led Mobile with 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Alice Honnery added 10 points, 17 rebounds, 6 blocks and 4 steals.
Jayla Moon finished with 15 points for Brewton-Parker, while Andriea Hoskins added 14 points and 6 assists.
The Lady Rams out shot the Lady Barons 45% to 40% from the floor and held a big edge from the charity stripe. Mobile finished the game 31-of-48 from the free throw line, compared to a 13-of-19 effort from the visitors. Morgan Melancon hit 7-of-8 from the free throw line for Mobile.
The first half saw plenty of offense as the teams battled to a 43-43 tie at the break, but the Lady Barons scored the first nine points in the second half to grab a 52-43 lead with 18:16 remaining on Moon's three-point play.
Brewton-Parker maintained control for much of the half, building up a 71-61 lead with 6:56 left, but Mobile started to rally. The Lady Rams went on a 22-4 run over the next 6:03 to take command and take an 83-75 lead. In one 2:28 stretch of the run, Mackay scored 10 straight points for Mobile, as the Lady Rams dominated in the paint.
