Trio Of Mobile Men Named 1st-Team All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile's Chris Dillon, Stephen Okai and Deshorn Brown were named 1st-Team NAIA Men's Soccer All-American, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Monday.

There are three teams, in addition to an honorable mention list.

Eleven players were named to the First Team, with Mobile the only squad to have three student-athletes honored as 1st-Team selections.

Dillon, a sophomore defender from Bournemouth, England, was an honorable mention selection in 2009 as a freshman at Mobile. He started in all 23 games and helped anchor a Mobile defense that allowed only 25 goals in 23 games. He also picked up 3 goals and 4 assists.

Okai, a sophomore midfielder from Accra, Ghana, started all 23 games for the Rams and finished the season with 4 goals and 5 assists.

Brown, a freshman forward from Kingston, Jamaica, produced an impressive 21 goals in his first year at Mobile. He also added 5 assists to finish with a team-high 47 points, while tallying five game-winning goals. He ranked 6th in the NAIA in total goals and 9th in total points, while finishing the year with six multi-goal games.

Mobile finished the season at 17-4-2 and advanced to the Semifinals of the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship.
