Rams' Baseball Falls To Tornadoes

TALLADEGA, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team fell 6-1 at Talladega College Friday in non-conference play.

Mobile (5-5) will finish out the 3-game series with a noon doubleheader Saturday.

Ryan Pettus picked up the win for the Tornadoes by allowing 0 earned runs (1 run) on 6 hits in 5 innings while fanning 1. Michael King took the loss for the Rams after allowing 5 earned runs on 9 hits in 6 innings of action.

Ben Negus went 2-3 at the op of the lineup for Mobile, while Sam Mahoney finished 2-3 with 1 RBI and Ryan Waltman collected 2 hits out of the DH spot.

Richard Cochran went 2-2 with 3 RBI and Jesse Sharbutt and Nelson Pacheco each scored 2 runs for Talladega. The Tornadoes scored 2 runs in the 1st and then put the game away with a 3-spot in the 5th.
