Lady Ram Trio Honored By SSAC Awards

MOBILE, Ala-- Three University of Mobile women's basketball players received postseason awards from the Southern States Athletic Conference.
Leading the way was junior post player Alice Honnery, who racked up several awards after finishing 2nd in the NAIA with 117 blocks (4.179 per game). The New South Wales, Australia native was named the SSAC Defensive Player of the Year, while also being named All-Conference and she was Mobile's representative on the Musco Lighting Champion of Character Team. She averaged a double-double of 11.7 points and 10.6 rebounds, while shooting 56% from the field and dishing out 69 assists.
Senior forward Adrienne Mackay joined Honnery on the All-Conference team after averaging 13 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. The Laurel, MS native shot 53% from the floor and led the Lady Rams with 56 steals.
Senior Anna Maddox was named to the All-Academic Team after averaging 6.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. The Auburn native appeared in 21 games after finishing up the soccer season. She is a HPES/Teacher Education major.
