Donte Walker Named 2011 NAIA All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile's Donte Walker was named Honorable Mention NAIA Men's Basketball All-American Wednesday, as selected by the NAIA Men's Basketball Coaches' Association All-America Committee.

The selections include a First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention Team.

In 2010-11, Walker averaged 14.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game. The senior guard from Lake Charles, LA had season highs of 24 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals.

Walker finished his Mobile career with 1,422 career points, 581 career rebounds, 205 career assists and 492 career field goals made. That is good enough for 4th all-time in career scoring, 6th all-time in career boards.

The Rams finished the season with a 15-14 record and went 8-4 in their first season in the Southern States Athletic Conference West Division. They finished as Co-Champions of the division in the regular season.
