No. 13 William Carey Tops Mobile Women 8-1

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team fell 1-8 to 13th-ranked William Carey University Tuesday in SSAC West action.

William Carey rolled through doubles play to build a 3-0 lead and cruised from there. Mobile put up a fight in the top two singles spots, with Claudia Borges winning 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 and Rachel Hartley falling 4-6, 6-2 (4-7) at No. 2. Mobile managed only three games combined in the other four singles matches.

Mobile (6-6, 1-4) will host Spring Hill Thursday, April 7 at 3 pm.
