Lady Ram Golfers Place 3rd At SSAC Championships

COLUMBUS, Ga-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished 3rd at the 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference Championship Tuesday at the Columbus Country Club.

No. 1 Shorter won the tournament with a 625, while 12th-ranked Lee finished 2nd with a 651. The Lady Rams came in with a two-round score of 686 (340, 346) to beat out Spring Hill by four strokes.

Abbie Harris paced Mobile with a 22-over 166 (80, 86) to finish in a tie for 10th individually at the championships. Ann Nahl finished 13th with a 25-over 169 (82, 87), Taylor Kirby carded a 28-over 172 (89, 83), Taylor Lee shot a 35-over 179 (89, 90) and Mandy Eads finished at +45 189 (95, 94).
