MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished in 4th place at the UM Fall Classic.
Northwood University (Fla.) won the tournament with a 66-over 642 (318, 324) while the Lady Rams finished 46 strokes back with a 668 (330, 338).
Maegan Rice finished as the top individual golfer with a 5-over 149 (74, 75), while Abbie Harris tied for 15th with a 23-over 167 (84, 83). Taylor Kirby carded a 179 (86, 93) and Taylor Lee finished at 35-over 179 (86, 93). Jessica Catlin shot a 231 for Mobile.
Thomas University finished in 2nd place with a 655 (324, 331) and Lindenwood finished 3rd with a 657 (328, 329).
Day 1: Mobile In 4th After Opening Round
MOBILE, Ala-- Northwood University (Fla.) leads the University of Mobile Fall Classic after the opening round at Azalea City Golf Club Monday in NAIA women's golf competition.
Northwood carded a 30-over 318, while the University of Mobile sits in 4th place after shooting a 42-over 330.
Mobile's Maegan Rice leads the pack after round one with a 2-over 74, while Abbie Harris is tied for 17th with a 12-over 84. Taylor Kirby and Taylor Lee carded 14-over 86's, while Jessica Catlin shot a 118 for Mobile.
Spring Hill College sits in 5th place with a 52-over 340. Chelsea Mayer leads the Lady Badgers with a 10-over 82 that has her in 8th place. Victoria Gonzalez and Shea Bowers both carded 11-over 83's to tie for 13th. Kim Penix shot a 92.
Thomas University is in 2nd place with a 36-over 324 and Lindenwood is in 3rd with a 40-over 328. The final round takes place Tuesday.
