VALDOSTA, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished 7th at the Thomas University Winter Invitational Tuesday at Kinderlou Forest GC.
The Rams finished at 54-over 630 (321, 309), 19 strokes behind No. 1 Shorter College, which finished at 35-over 611 (306, 305). Johnson & Wales finished 2nd, two strokes behind Shorter.
Alejandro Salcedo (80, 75) and Cameron Smith (81, 74) both finished tied for 16th at 11-over 155 to pace the Rams.
Tyson Lynn finished tied for 20th at 12-over 156 (77, 79), Chris Collier shot a 20-over 164 (83, 81) and Joey Moberly finished at 23-over 167 (84, 83).
The Rams next play at the Faulkner State Community College Invitational March 1-2 at Rock Creek Golf Club.
Round 1: Rams In 8th Place
VALDOSTA, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 8th place after the opening round of the Thomas University Winter Invitational at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
The Rams shot a 33-over 321, led by Tyson Lynn's 5-over 77 (36, 41). Alejandro Salcedo carded an 8-over 80 (35, 450, Cameron Smith shot an 81 (39, 42), Chris Collier finished with an 83 (43, 40) and Joey Moberly shot an 84.
Thomas University sits in the top spot after shooting an 18-over 306. Four of Thomas' five golfers finished under 80.
