UMobile Men Sit In 6th After Opening Round

CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 6th place after one round of play at the Derrall Foreman Invitational Friday at the Cleveland Country Club.

The Rams fired a 12-over 300, trailing leader North Alabama, who carded an even-par 288. Host Delta State sits in 3rd with a 3-over 291.

Zach Day leads the Rams with a 1-under 71 to place him in a tie for 6th individually. Delta State's Grant Goforth leads everyone with a 4-under 68 after the opening 18 holes.

Patrick Kelley sits in 21st place with a 3-over 75 and Andrew Pacione carded a 5-over 77 for the Rams. Rounding out the Mobile golfers are Leland Dunning with a 5-over 77 and Trey Doss with a +8 80.

Round two will take place Saturday.
