UMobile Volleyball Sweeps Dillard

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team picked up a home victory by sweeping former conference foe Dillard University 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) Saturday afternoon.

Mobile (7-8, 1-4) visits SSAC foe Loyola University-New Orleans Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm.

The Lady Rams out-hit the Bleu Devils .200 to .067 as a team and finished with a 5-1 edge in service aces.

Disah Kolassiba paced the Lady Rams with 14 kills on a .722 attack percentage, while Kiara Gay added 9 kills and 9 digs.

Sara Van Wert chipped in with 8 kills on a .313 hitting percentage and added 4 aces. Melody Tenney led the setters with 22 assists.

Paula Ogbevoen led Dillard with 9 kills and hit .320.

After hitting only .028 while struggling to a 25-21 win in the opening set, the Lady Rams righted the ship and hit .387 and .212 in the final two sets.
