Lady Rams Pick Up 2-0 SSAC Win

CENTRAL, S.C.-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team blanked Southern States Athletic Conference foe Southern Wesleyan 2-0 in road action Friday evening.
Mobile (6-2-1, 2-1) will next play Truett McConnell Saturday at 2 pm.
The Lady Rams dominated the game with a 37-5 shot advantage and a 22-3 advantage in shots on target. The Mobile offense found net once in each half.
Mobile came out firing with 15 shots in the opening half before finally breaking through when Brianna Simmons scored in the 31st minute, with Kassie Ruff collecting the assist.
The team's second half goal came much quicker, as Ruff put one between the posts in the 51st minute off of a feed from Christy Lachappelle.
Lorna Brownlie picked up the win in goal for Mobile with three saves.
