Lady Rams Win Pair On Day One Of SSAC Cross-Over

GAINESVILLE, Ga-- The University of Mobile volleyball team went 2-0 on day one of the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament in Gainesville, Ga. Friday.
The Lady Rams beat Southern Wesleyan 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 22-25, 25-17) to hand SWU their first conference loss of the season and then defeated Brenau 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 26-28, 25-16).
Mobile (9-9, 3-5) will battle Brewton-Parker Saturday at 9 am.
Against SWU, Disah Kolassiba finished with 16 kills and 5 blocks, while hitting .294. Kiara Gay racked up 15 kills and added 10 digs for the double-double.
Melody Tenney and Reagin Boggs each led Mobile with 21 assists, and added 11 and 14 digs, respectively. Katy McCollister led Mobile with 17 digs.
Mobile hit .168 and finished with 10.5 team blocks to overcome 11 service errors.
Against Brenau, the Lady Rams got the service game going with 10 aces, led by 4 from Tenney.
Offensively, Gay put down 20 kills and hit .300, while adding 13 digs. Kolassiba added 13 kills and hit .310.
McCollister led the team with 17 digs, while Tenney led with 28 assists.
