4th-Ranked Rams Beat 10th-Ranked Blazers 3-1

MOBILE, Ala-- The 4th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team used three second-half goals to defeat 10th-ranked Belhaven University 3-1 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening.
Mobile (11-1, 7-1) visits Faulkner University Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 pm.
The Rams put 11 shots on frame, versus six for the Blazers, and held a 19-10 advantage in overall shots taken.
In the opening half, Belhaven's Greg Hartley made five saves and the first 45 minutes ended with the score at 0-0, but in the second half, the Rams kept shooting and eventually got on the scoreboard.
Gunnar Steindorsson started the scoring in the 59th minute when he camped out in front of the goal and headed home a cross from Sam Blackburn.
Less than a minute later, at the 60:20 mark, Deshorn Brown notched the game-winner when he took a long pass from Stephen Okai and ripped the ball into the top corner.
Belhaven answered with a goal in the 79th minute, but Brown answered with his 22nd goal of the season less than a minute later to cap the scoring.
Kyle Buxton made four saves while going the distance in goal for Mobile.
