Volleyball Goes 2-0 On Final Day Of Tournament

SAVANNAH, Ga-- The UMobile volleyball team went 2-0 on the final day of the SCAD Invitational Saturday, defeating Shawnee State 3-0 (25-9, 25-15, 25-17) and taking down host SCAD-Savannah 3-1 (19-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22).
Mobile (18-11) will visit Belhaven University Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 pm.
The Lady Rams out hit Shawnee State .366 to .011, served up six aces and finished with a 6-0 edge in team blocks.
Disah Kolassiba led with 9 kills and hit .533, while Sara Van Wert hit .615 and finished with 8 kills and 4 blocks.
Mobile then hit .204 against SCAD and got 16 kills and 10 digs from Kiara Gay. Melody Tenney added 11 kills, 19 assists and 12 digs, while Alison Kenney finished with 10 kills and hit .259 for Mobile.
Katy McCollister led the way defensively with 22 digs for the Lady Rams, as Mobile overcame 13 service errors.
