#4 UMobile Men Battle #7 Crusaders To 1-1 Tie

HATTIESBURG, Miss--The 4th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team battled 7th-ranked William Carey to a 1-1 double-overtime tie in SSAC action Tuesday.

Mobile (12-1-1, 8-1-1) hosts University of West Florida Friday at 7 pm.

Xavier Audergon worked all 110 minutes in goal for the Rams and made eight stops, including a penalty kick in the second half and a shot from point-blank range in the first overtime period.

The teams were locked in a scoreless battle for the first 47 minutes until William Carey was awarded a penalty kick at the 47:44 mark. Francois Navarro made it pay off to put the Crusaders up 1-0.

Mobile kept the pressure on, finishing the period with an 11-5 shot advantage and finally found the net at the 60:52 mark. Chris Dillon feed Deshorn Brown racing down the far side of the field, and Brown outraced the defense and crossed the ball to Eoin Dolan, who put the ball home from point-blank range.

Each team finished with 16 shots, while Mobile held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
