Big First Half Sends Mobile Past Belhaven

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team defeated Belhaven University 78-62 in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action at Pharr Gym Thursday evening.

Davina Jefferson finished with 26 points to lead Mobile, Kyiona Boulton added 14 points and 10 rebounds, Alice Honnery added 9 points, 12 boards and 11 blocks and Morgan Melancon finished with 7 assists for Mobile. Sarah Carr led Belhaven with 14 points.

Rams Win At NCAA II Stillman

TUSCALOOSA, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team defeated NCAA II Stillman College Wednesday in non-conference action. The men won 7-2 for their third consecutive victory after starting the season with a loss to Xavier. The Rams (3-1) next play March 11 at home against Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foe William Carey University.

Rams Dominate Badgers With 8-1 Win

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile men's tennis team took down rival Spring Hill College 8-1 Tuesday at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center in GCAC action. Mobile (2-1, 1-1 GCAC) took the three doubles matches and continued to control the match throughout singles play as the Badgers (0-2, 0-2 GCAC) took just one match when freshman Jake Lyons defeated Ryan Ogborn on the No. 6 court.

Xavier Beats Rams In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 64-52 at Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foe Xavier University-New Orleans Monday evening.

Mobile (15-11) actually out shot Xavier 49% to 36% from the field, but turned the ball over 33 times, while Xavier committed only 15 turnovers. Xavier finished with 24 steals, versus only 6 for the Lady Rams.

Rams Drop Pair To Eagles

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team dropped a pair of 7-inning ball games to visiting Faulkner University Tuesday afternoon in non-conference NAIA action. Faulkner (11-4) took the opener 9-1 and then grabbed the finale 10-6. Mobile (6-8, 1-4) hosts Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foe LSU-Shreveport for a three-game series this weekend, beginning Friday at 2 pm. In the opener, Faulkner tallied 9 runs on 9 hits, versus 1 run on 2 hits for Mobile.

Rice Ties For 1st; Lady Rams Finish 4th At Ann Rhoads Shootout

CALERA, Ala-- Maegan Rice finished in a tie for 1st and the University of Mobile women's golf team finished in 4th place at the Ann Rhoads Shootout at Timberline Golf Course Monday. The Lady Rams finished at 113-over 681 (339, 342), while University of West Florida won the event with an 87-over 655 (328, 327).
