Mobile Falls To Xavier University 50-69

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 50-69 to Xavier University in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action at Pharr Gym Thursday evening. Adrienne Mackay finished with 16 points to lead Mobile, while Davina Jefferson added 15 points and 4 steals for the Lady Rams. Alice Honnery finished with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks. Brittany Powell led Xavier with 29 points on an impressive 12-of-15 shooting, while SiMon Franklin added 10 points for the Gold Nuggets.

Rams Defeat Xavier University

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team picked up a 59-53 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference victory over Xavier University at Pharr Gym Thursday evening. Robert Golston led Mobile with 13 points and 8 rebounds, Ji Kimbrough added 12 points and Donte Walker finished with 10 points for Mobile. Cordell Hadnot and Michael Harvey each tallied 14 points to lead Xavier.

UM Takes Down No. 24 Life University

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team defeated NAIA No. 24 Life University 90-83 in non-conference action at Pharr Gym Monday night. Donte Walker led the Rams with 27 points on 8-of-16 shooting, Matthew Turner added 14 points, and Ji Kimbrough and Robert Golston both finished with 13 points for the Rams. Life's Tay Barber tallied a game-high 40 points for the visitors on 10-of-23 shooting from the floor.

Mobile Drops First Conference Game

TOUGALOO, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team suffered its first Gulf Coast Athletic Conference loss Thursday, falling 68-75 at Tougaloo College. NAIA No. 24 Mobile falls to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in conference, while Tougaloo moves to 6-8 and 2-1. The Lady Rams return to action Saturday, Jan. 16 at 5:00 pm at Belhaven College. Davina Jefferson led Mobile with 21 points, Adrienne Mackay added 19 points and 13 rebounds, and Alice Honnery finished with 11 points and 12 boards.

Lady Rams Climb Into Top-25

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team climbed into the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll Monday, as released by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The Lady Rams (10-2, 2-0) are ranked 24th with 83 points, ahead of No. 25 Lindsey Wilson and one spot behind No. 23 Wayland BAptist University. Union University leads the way with 309 points, followed closely by unbeaten Saint Xavier University.

UM Moves To 2-0 In Conference

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team defeated Dillard University 69-64 in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Saturday evening. The Lady Rams (10-2, 2-0) struggled in the opening half, shooting only 30% from the floor and 17% from three-point range, which allowed Dillard to take a 34-28 lead into intermission.

UM Upsets Loyola Wolfpack

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team rallied past GCAC preseason favorite Loyola 64-55 to open Gulf Coast Athletic Conference play at Pharr Gym Thursday evening. Alice Honnery put up 14 points and 11 rebounds, Morgan Crawford put up 12 points off the bench, Adrienne Mackay finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Davina Jefferson tallied 11 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 assists for Mobile.
