UMobile Women Finish 4th At Azlalea City Classic

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team ran to a 4th place finish at the USA Azalea City Classic Saturday morning at Brookley Field. The meet was a 6K run. Mobile clocked in at 2:31:49.84 as a team, while South Alabama won the meet with a time of 1:58:32.43.

Lady Rams Place 3rd At Badger Brawl

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team finished in 3rd place at the Badger Brawl Saturday morning at Municipal Park. Spring Hill took 1st, followed by Huntingdon, Mobile and Auburn-Montgomery. Pacing the Lady Rams was Katelyn Osborne, who finished in 4th place overall with a time of 21:49 in the 5K run.

Alastair Stevenson Running In London Marathon

April 17th would normally be an off day for cross country coaches, but it will be a big day for University of Mobile alumnus and men's and women's cross country coach Alastair Stevenson. Stevenson will run in the London Marathon, which is one of the five premier city marathons that make up the World Marathon Majors competition, which boasts a $1 million prize. It is a 26.2 mile run through the streets of London and finishes outside Buckingham Palace.

Rams Recognized For Fall Success

CLEVELAND – The University of Mobile is ranked 15th in the final fall NAIA Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings. Mobile received 53 points for a ninth place finish in women's soccer and 83 points for a third place finish in men's soccer. Azusa Pacific (Calif.) extended its lead, earning 25 points following a ninth place finish in football, bringing their point total to 301 points.

UMobile Women Run At SSAC Championships

GULFPORT, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team finished the 2010 season with a 9th-place finish at the 2010 SSAC Championships Saturday morning. Mobile turned in a total time of 2:05:06 for 221 points, while Lee University won with a time of 1:35:05 and 32 points. Joanna Canning paced the Lady Ram runners with a 41st place finish after clocking in at 22:20.83 in the 5K run.

Lady Rams Run At Southeast Classic

ROME, Ga-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team ran at the Southeast Cross Country Classic Saturday morning. Mobile had only four healthy runners and did not qualify as a team in the 5K race that featured 232 runners and 27 teams. Joanna Canning led the Lady Rams with a time of 23:17.25 to place 174th in the race.

Women's Cross Country Places 3rd In 5K Meet

CLINTON, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team finished 3rd among Non-Division I teams at the Choctaw Open Saturday. The 5K race saw the Lady Rams slot in between 2nd-place Belhaven and 4th-place Millsaps College. The Lady Rams turned in a time of 1:59:40.38 and 81 points. Belhaven edged out Mobile by only four points for the 2nd slot.
