Lady Rams Open Spring Season With 4th-Place Finish

LAKE WALES, Fla-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished in 4th place at the Start 2 Finish Webber Classic to open the 2011 spring season. The Lady Rams fired a collective +115 691 (341, 350) during the two-round event at the Par-72, 5,833 yard Lake Wales CC. Florida Southern won the tournament with a 67-over 643 (318, 325) and Centre College finished 2nd with an 80-over 656 (335, 321).

Mobile Women Win 2010 Fall Invitational

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team won the 2010 University of Mobile Fall Invitational at Heron Lakes Golf Course, while Abbie Harris took home top individual honors. The Lady Rams won the tournament with a +90 666 (334, 332), finishing a comfortable nine strokes ahead of 2nd-place Thomas University, who shot a 99-over 675 (336, 339). Huntingdon College finished 3rd with a +132 708 (361, 347) and William Carey finished 4th at +191 767 (391, 376).

Lady Rams Lead After Opening Round Of UMobile Fall Invitational

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team leads the pack after round one of the University of Mobile Fall Invitational at Heron Lakes Golf Course Monday. The Lady Rams' top four golfers carded a collective 46-over 334, two strokes ahead of Thomas University's +48 336. Huntingdon College sits in 3rd with a 73-over 361 and William Carey is in 4th with a +98 386.

UMobile Women Place 13th At Southern Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished 13th at the Southern Shootout hosted by Birmingham Southern College at Highland Park Golf Course Monday. The Lady Rams carded a two-round +123 683 (347, 336), while Columbus State won the tournament with a 41-over 601 (296, 305). Shorter University finished 2nd with a 42-over 602 (302, 300).

Women's Golf Through One Round At Southern Shootout

BIRMINGHAM, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team sits in 14th place after round one of the Southern Shootout, hosted by Birmingham-Southern at Highland Park Golf Course. The Mobile women carded an opening-round 67-over 347, while Columbus State and Birmingham Southern hold down the top two spots with a 16-over 296 and 17-over 297, respectively.

Southern States Showcase Set to Air October 20

Norcross, Ga. - The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), which grew to sixteen member institutions on July 1, will add a new dimension in 2010, as the SSAC unveils its feature-based television show debuting on Wednesday, October 20 on SportSouth at 6 p.m. The “Southern States Showcase” will feature 18 thirty-minute weekly episodes on SportSouth (Fox regional sports network) reaching more than 10 million households. The show will air three times weekly across six southeastern states (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) beginning the week of October 18.

Lady Rams Finish Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate

WAYNESVILLE, N.C.-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished 24th at the 12th Annual Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate. The Lady Rams finished the two-round tournament with a 78-over 654 (331, 323), while Jacksonville State won the tournament with an impressive 2-over 578 (289, 289). Taylor Kirby carded a +14 158 (79, 79) to tie for 89th and led Mobile.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team finished 4th at the Alabama State University Fall Golf Classic Tuesday. Mobile finished at +91 674 (329, 345), while Shorter University won the event with a 60-over 636 (324, 312). Faulkner University's Mandy Gregg rallied for top individual honors with a +7 151 (79, 72).

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team sits in 3rd place after day one of the Alabama State University Fall Classic, while Ann Nahl leads the field with a 4-over 76. The Lady Rams carded a 41-over 329, only five strokes behind leader Shorter, who finished with a 36-over 324.
