KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The NAIA released the qualifiers and pairings for the 2011 Women's Soccer National Championship, and the 5th-ranked University of Mobile Lady Rams will be making their 6th overall appearance and 2nd-straight. The Lady Rams will host Texas at Brownsville in a National Championship Opening Round game Nov. 19 at a time to be determined. That winner will join the winners of the other 15 opening round contests at the final site of the National Championship in Decatur, Ala. Nov. 28 - Dec. 3.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 3rd-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team fell 0-2 to 2nd-ranked Lee University in the finals of the 2011 SSAC Tournament Saturday at the Gulfport Sportsplex. Mobile (17-3-1, 11-1) will receive a bid to the 2011 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, and will await word on a site and opponent for the National Championship Opening Round to take place Nov. 19.

MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2011 Women's Soccer All-Conference Team and year-end awards, and the 3rd-ranked University of Mobile Lady Rams were well-represented. The All-Conference team is made up of 14 players, with Lorna Brownlie, Christy Lachappelle and Olivia Maddox earning the nod for Mobile. Rebekah Counce and Jesslyn Fagundes earned spots on the All-Conference 2nd-Team, while Rebekah Spalding and Brianna Heiss were named All-Freshman.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 3rd-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team got a hat trick from Kassie Ruff Thursday evening to defeat Brenau University 3-0 in the semifinals of the SSAC Tournament. Mobile (17-2-1) will face 2nd-ranked Lee University in the championship match Saturday at 2 pm at the Gulfport Sportsplex. The Lady Rams' defense allowed Brenau only three shots all game, and Lorna Brownlie made a pair of saves in the shutout victory.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 3rd-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team upended Shorter University 1-0 in the opening round of the 2011 SSAC Tournament Saturday. Mobile (16-2-1, 11-1) will advance to the semifinals of the tournament Nov. 10 in Gulfport, Miss., against a team to be determined. The Lady Rams' defense allowed Shorter to put only two shots on target, and Lorna Brownlie made saves on both of those to pick up the shutout victory.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team will host Shorter University Saturday, Nov. 5 at 5 pm in a SSAC Tournament Opening Round Contest. The Lady Rams also climbed to No. 3 in the latest edition of the 2011 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll with 532 points and a 15-2-1 record. Lindsey Wilson tops the polls with 590 points, while fellow SSAC team Lee is 2nd with 573 points. Lee is the top seed in the East, while Mobile is the top seed in the West.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team shut out conference foe and crosstown rival Spring Hill College 2-0 Saturday evening to cap the regular season. Mobile (15-2-1, 11-1) locks down the second seed in the SSAC standings and will host a team Saturday, Nov. 5 at a time to be determined to open the SSAC Tournament. The Lady Rams' defense held Spring Hill to only three shots and Lorna Brownlie made two saves in goal for the shutout victory.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team used a pair of goals from Christy Lachappelle to upend Southern States Athletic Conference rival Auburn University-Montgomery by a 3-1 score Tuesday. Mobile (14-2-1, 10-1) will host rival Spring Hill College Saturday at 5 pm.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team defeated Southern States Athletic Conference rival William Carey University 1-0 Tuesday in road action. The lone score came off the foot of Christy Lachappelle in the 67th minute.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team held on to down Faulkner University 2-1 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Saturday. Mobile (12-2-1, 8-1) will visit William Carey University Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 5 pm. Faulkner out shot Mobile 19-14, but Lorna Brownlie made seven saves in goal for the Lady Rams to pick up the victory.
