No. 19 Mobile Picks Up Pair Of Run-Rule Victories

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 19th-ranked University of Mobile softball team won a pair of neutral site games at William Carey Saturday, beating LSU-Alexandria 14-4 in five innings and taking down Embry-Riddle 8-0 in five. In the first game, the Lady Rams scored in each inning, and tallied multiple runs in all but one frame. Mobile did the damage on 14 hits and 7 walks.

Mobile Scores Late And Sweeps No. 18 Eagles

MOBILE, Ala-- The 19th-ranked University of Mobile softball team swept a doubleheader from 18th-ranked Central Methodist University Tuesday, winning by scores of 6-1 and 9-4 in non-conference action. Mobile (12-5) heads to the William Carey Invitational Saturday to face LSU-Alexandria at 11 am and Embry-Riddle at 1 pm.

Extra-Inning Double Play Gives Lady Rams 1-0 Win

GULF SHORES, Ala-- The University of Mobile softball team used an unconventional 8th-inning double play to hold on for a 1-0 win against St. Thomas on the final day of pool play action at the Gulf Coast Invitational. Mobile (10-4) will await word on its bracket assignment for Sunday at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex.

Lady Rams Drop Two Pool Play Games

GULF SHORES, Ala-- After opening pool play at the Gulf Coast Invitational with a run-rule win, the University of Mobile softball team dropped a pair of close games to close out day one. Mobile fell 1-2 in eight innings to Freed-Hardeman and then lost 0-3 to Blue Mountain. Against Freed-Hardeman, the Lady Rams forced extras on Jordan Coleman's two-out, two-strike home run in the top of the 7th, before falling in eight.

Lady Rams Run-Rule Lyon And Emmanuel

MOBILE, Ala-- The 19th-ranked University of Mobile softball team picked up a pair of five-inning run-rule victories Wednesday, beating Lyon and Emmanuel by 8-0 margins. Mobile (8-2) hosts the Gulf Coast Invitational Friday-Sunday at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Mobile plays at 11, 5 and 7 on Friday. Against Lyon, Alli Hall worked five innings of four-hit shutout ball while striking out five and walking one to get the win.
