JACKSON, Miss-- The 23rd-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team defeated Gulf Coast Athletic Conference opponent Belhaven University 8-1 Saturday. The Lady Rams (13-3, 8-3) swept doubles play and and then cruised to wins at the top two singles spots to clinch the five points needed for the win. Mobile visits William Carey Tuesday, April 13 at 5 pm.

JACKSON, Miss-- The 23rd-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team defeated conference foe Tougaloo College 8-1 Friday afternoon. Claudia Borges, Zelie Pfeiffer, Rachel Hartley, Kari Williams and Alana McDaniel won in singles play for Mobile, while Pfeiffer-Hartley, Williams-Emily Jennings and Borges-McDaniel won in doubles action.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the NAIA Top 25 polls for the spring sports, and the University of Mobile has a couple of teams ranked. The UM women's tennis team is ranked 23rd in the latest NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll after receiving votes last week. Mobile received 108 points in the poll, nine behind 22nd-ranked Biola University (Calif.) and 21 more than 24th-ranked Westmont College (Calif.).

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference released the GCAC Players of the Week awards for the week ending April 4th and the University of Mobile had a pair of athletes honored. Rachel Hartley was named the GCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week and Cameron Smith was named the GCAC Men's Golfer of the Week.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team picked up a 5-4 victory over NCAA II University of Montevallo Tuesday at Mobile. The Lady Rams won No. 1 doubles 8-0 and No. 3 doubles 8-4 to take a 2-1 lead into singles play, and then swept the top three spots to clinch the match.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team knocked off 23rd-ranked Spring Hill College 5-4 in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Wednesday evening. The Lady Rams (10-3, 6-3) next play at LSU-Shreveport Saturday at 10 am, while Spring Hill (8-5, 6-4) visits Belhaven April 9 at 12 pm.

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team went 1-1 in a pair of Gulf Coast Athletic Conference matches Saturday. Mobile fell 2-7 to Xavier and then beat Loyola 5-2 to cap the day. The Lady Rams (9-3, 5-3) host Spring Hill Wednesday at 3 pm.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 25th-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team downed NCAA III Millsaps College 6-3 Monday afternoon. The Lady Rams led 2-1 after doubles play after the teams of Zelie Pfeiffer-Rachel Hartley and Claudia Borges-Nancy Machen picked up 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.
