HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile baseball team split a SSAC doubleheader at William Carey this afternoon, dropping the 7-inning opener 2-1 and taking the finale 3-2. Mobile (9-13, 4-7) and William Carey (15-8, 7-3) will close out the series with a single game at 2 pm Sunday. Ryan Hines limited the Crusaders to 2 runs on 4 hits in 8 innings of mound work. The lefty fanned 7 and walked 5. Josh Blaylock worked a perfect 9th to grab the save.

UMobile Baseball Sweeps Twin Bill From Scots

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team swept a pair of 7-inning contests from non-conference foe Lyon College by scores of 8-3 and 14-3 Wednesday afternoon. Mobile (8-12, 3-6) will visit Southern States Athletic Conference foe William Carey for a 3-game series this weekend, beginning with a single game Friday at 6 pm. Lefty Cole Vaughan went the distance to grab the win for Mobile in the opener, limiting the Scots to 1 earned run on 5 hits in 7 innings of work. He struck out 4 and walked none while throwing only 73 pitches.

Rams Sweep Doubleheader From #15 Belhaven

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball swept a doubleheader from 15th-ranked Belhaven Friday, taking the 7-inning opener 6-4 and blanking the Blazers 5-0 in the finale. Mobile (6-11, 3-5) and Belhaven (15-7, 4-4) will finish the series with a single game Saturday at 1. In the opener, Ryan Waltman finished 1-for-4 with 5 RBI and a 5th-inning grand slam. Ryan Parazine finished 3-for-3 with 2 runs scored and Braxton Hamil drew 3 walks and had a RBI-triple.

THOMASVILLE, Ga-- The University of Mobile baseball team split a non-conference twinbill at Thomas University Wednesday, winning game one 8-5, and falling 3-4 in the finale in a pair of 7 inning games. Mobile (4-11) hosts Belhaven for a 3-game series this weekend, beginning with a single game Friday at 2 pm. Drew Esslinger grabbed the win for the Rams with 2 innings of 2-hit shutout relief in the opener.

Rams Drop Series Finale To 3rd-Ranked Flames

MOBILE, Ala-- The 3rd-ranked Lee University Flames finished off a sweep of the University of Mobile with an 8-4 victory in Sunday's series finale at Jacobs Field. Mobile (3-10) visits Thomas University Feb. 28 for a 2 pm doubleheader. Vince Spilker grabbed the win for the Flames by limiting Mobile to 2 earned runs on 4 hits in 5 innings of work. Corey Fountain was tagged with the loss after giving up 0 earned runs (6 unearned) on 5 hits in 2.2 innings.

Mobile (3-9, 1-4) will host Lee (15-2, 5-0) for the final game of the series Sunday at 1 pm. Michael King was the tough-luck loser in the opener, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 7 innings of work, while Patrick Merkling picked up the win for Lee with 7 innings of 2-hit, shutout ball.

Rally Falls Short And Rams Fall 4-5 To UNO

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team's rally fell short Tuesday, as the team fell 4-5 to NCAA-II University of New Orleans. Mobile (3-7) hosts 3rd-ranked Lee University for a three-game series this weekend, beginning with a 2 pm contest Friday. For eight innings, the Rams' offense was held in check and UNO built a 5-0 lead. But, in the 9th Mobile finally got to the Privateer bullpen and put up four runs on four hits.

Rams Grab 10-2 Win From Badgers

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team bounced back Sunday and trounced Spring Hill College 10-2 in the series finale. Mobile (3-6) will host University of New Orleans TUesday at 2 pm. Ryan Hines limited the Badger bats to 1 run on 6 hits in 7 innings of work, while fanning 5 and walking 1. The lefty needed only 85 pitches to work through the 7 innings.

Badgers Take Twin Bill From Rams

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team dropped a doubleheader at Spring Hill Friday, falling 2-5 in a 7-inning game and 3-11 in a 9-inning contest. Mobile (2-6, 0-2) and Spring Hill (5-2, 2-0) will finish the series with a 12 pm contest Saturday. Michael Moch picked up the win in the opener for Spring Hill, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits in 6.1 innings of work. Michael King took the loss after allowing 2 earned runs (5 runs) on 8 hits in 6 innings of work.

Rams Fall 3-9 At No. 2 Argos

PENSACOLA, Fla-- The University of Mobile baseball team fell 9-3 to NCAA-II 2nd-ranked University of West Florida Wednesday evening. Dan Husum picked up the win for West Florida with 1 inning of 1-run relief. Ryan Hines took the loss after allowing 5 runs on 5 hits in 1 inning of work. The UMobile offense managed only five hits in the game, and freshman first baseman Braxton Hamil had three of those after going 3-for-4 with 1 RBI and 1 run at the dish. Ryne Phillips finished 1-for-2 at the plate with two walks.
