CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team is in 11th place after round 1 of the Derrall Foreman Classic. North Alabama leads the field with a 277, while the Rams sit at 17-over 305 through one round of play. Alejandro Salcedo sits in a tie for 33rd after firing a 3-over 75, including a 35 on the front-nine.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished 7th at the Alabama State University Fall Golf Classic Tuesday. The Rams carded a +48 624 (315, 309) to finish 31 strokes behind champion Alabama State University. ASU finished at +17 593 (299, 294) to take home top honors. University of West Georgia's Bryn Powers won top individual honors with a 1-under 143 (70, 73).

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 9th place after day one of the Alabama State University Fall Classic. The Rams shot a 27-over 315, 21 strokes behind leader University of West Georgia. Mobile is only four strokes behind rival Spring Hill College.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile announced a couple of changes in the coaching ranks of the men's and women's golf programs, including the return of Hall of Famer Terry Hopper as assistant coach. Colby Odom, men's Head Coach in 2010, will serve as head coach of both programs, while Hopper will focus on the women's golf program that he started in 1993-94. Odom played golf at Mobile 2002-06 and served as a part-time coach in 2008-09, before becoming head coach of the men's golf program in 2009-10.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2010 Thomas Howell Cup winner Tuesday and Belhaven University edged out the University of Mobile to win the coveted trophy for the first time in school history. The Thomas Howell Cup is awarded to the school with the highest number of points based on the order of finish in the various sports they participate in.

WEST MIDLAND, Ga-- The 2010 season came to an end for the University of Mobile men's golf team at the NAIA Unaffiliated Play-In Round Tuesday. After Monday's opening two rounds, the Rams sat in 7th place after shooting 611, to trail Spring Hill by 16 strokes. Tuesday, The Rams shot an impressive 7-over 295 to climb to 4th, but it still was not enough to win the tournament and earn a bid to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished 2nd at the 2010 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship and Jacob Morgan won the 2010 Individual GCAC Championship. After Tuesday's opening round, the Rams and Spring Hill were tied for 1st after shooting a pair of 17-over 305's, but the Badgers carded a 10-over 298 Wednesday to win the tournament. Mobile finished 35-over 611 (305, 306) and Spring Hill finished 1st at 27-over 603 (305, 298).
