KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team jumped up to No. 14 in the third regular season edition of the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Rams (4-1-1) jumped up from receiving 18 votes in last week's poll to now receiving 372 points, just five behind 13th-ranked William Jewell College. The leap came after a big week for the Rams. Mobile beat then-No. 23 Southern Polytechnic State University 3-2 in double-overtime Friday and then blanked then-No. 3 Embry-Riddle 3-0 on Saturday.

MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the OnePath Systems SSAC Players of the Week and Onesimus Ikungo was named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. The Rams (4-1-1) went 2-0 on the week, beating 23rd-ranked Southern Polytechnic State University 3-2 in double-overtime and then blanking 3rd-ranked Embry-Riddle 3-0. Ikungo, a senior forward from Kampala, Uganda, played a big part in Saturday's win over the ERAU Eagles.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team blanked 3rd-ranked Embry-Riddle 3-0 in NAIA soccer action Saturday evening. Mobile (4-1-1) next play in Orange Beach Friday, Sept. 24 at 7 pm versus Northwood University (TX). The Rams controlled tempo all game, out shooting ERAU 19-7 for the game and 11-2 in the second half. Goalkeeper Jason Williams finished with a 3-save shutout for the Rams, while Embry's Kile Kennedy made 5 saves and allowed 3 goals.

MOBILE, Ala-- Deshorn Brown's goal in the 108th minute gave the University of Mobile a 3-2 double-overtime victory over 23rd-ranked Southern Polytechnic State University Friday at the University of Mobile. Mobile (3-1-1) returns to action at home Saturday at 7:30 versus 3rd-ranked Embry-Riddle University (Fla.). With the game tied up at 2-2 and the clock winding down towards a tie, Brown danced through a pair of defenders and then beat Southern Poly goalkeeper Eric Ati to the ball, flicking the ball over the charging keeper into the back of the net.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 16th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer game headed into Friday's contest with visiting Northwood University having outscored opponents 6-1 in three contests on the season. That changed Friday, as the Northwood Seahawks blanked the Rams 2-0. Mobile (2-1-1) hosts the UM Classic Sept. 17-18. Mobile will face Southern Polytechnic State Friday and Embry-Riddle on Saturday.

Mobile defeated then-No. 18 Bethel College 3-1 to open the season and blasted Milligan College 3-0.

MOBILE, Ala-- Three University of Mobile athletes were named OnePath Systems SSAC Players of the Week, as announced by the Southern States Athletic Conference. Jason Williams was named Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, Deshorn Brown was named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, and Allie Wheeler was named Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team improved to 2-0-1 on the season by blanking Milligan College 3-0 at Auburn-Montgomery's Captial City Classic Saturday. The Rams' defense held strong all game and the offense scored early and late to pick up the victory. Jason Williams collected a three-save shutout in goal for Mobile and the UM defenders held Milligan to only seven shot attempts. On the other hand, the Mobile offense took 20 shots in the game, putting seven on target.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team battled 6th-ranked Martin Methodist College to a 0-0 double-overtime tie Friday afternoon at the Capital City Classic. The Rams (1-0-1) will battle Milligan College Saturday at 12 pm on the final day of the Capital City Classic. Mobile kept the pressure on much of the game, outshooting the Redhawks 25-6 and finishing with a 7-0 edge in shots on goal, but Martin Methodist goalkeeper James Colman was up to the challenge with a seven-save shutout in 110 minutes of action.

MOBILE, Ala-- A pair of first-half goals propelled the University of Mobile men's soccer team to a season-opening 3-1 win over 18th-ranked Bethel College Thursday evening at the University of Mobile. The Rams controlled the tempo in the opening 45 minutes, outshooting the visitors 7-1 and putting 3 shots on target. Newcomer Deshorn Brown got the scoring started in the 17th minute when he knocked home a rebound after Chris Dillon's header was stopped by Cody Troyer.
