DAYTONA BEACH, Fla-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team saw its season come to an end Saturday, as the Rams fell 0-2 to No. 18 Embry-Riddle in a National Championship Opening Round Game.
The loss snapped a 4-game winning streak for Mobile, and the Rams end the season with a 9-11 record.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated visiting Asbury College (Ky.) 2-1 Saturday to win the NAIA Unaffiliated Championship.
The Rams (9-10) receive the automatic bid to the 2009 NAIA National Tournament from the unaffiliated grouping. The Rams will play in the 2009 NAIA National Championship Opening Round Saturday, Nov. 21 with time, opponent and location to be determined. Mobile hosted and beat UT-Brownsville in last year's opening round.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team upset No. 9 William Carey University 4-0 to win the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Thursday evening.
Mobile (8-10) will host Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champ Asbury College Saturday, Nov. 14 at 6 pm, with the winner gaining a bid to the 2009 NAIA National Tournament.

JACKSON, Miss--- The University of Mobile men's soccer team extended its season for at least one more game by defeating No. 23 Belhaven College 2-1 in overtime in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals Friday.
Mobile (7-10) will play the winner of tonight's LSU-Shreveport/William Carey matchup Monday in the GCAC Championship game.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced the 2009 Men's Soccer All-Conference team.
The University of Mobile's Jason Williams (GK), Chris Dillon (DEF) and Onesimus Ikungo (FWD) made the honorary team of 16.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team thumped visiting Spring Hill College 4-0 to close out the 2009 regular season Thursday evening at "The Jungle."
The Rams (6-10, 2-2) will play at No. 2 seed Belhaven College in the GCAC Tournament Nov. 5, while the Badgers will battle LSU-Shreveport in a play-in game at a time and date to be determined.

HATTIESBURG,Miss-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference released the GCAC Players of the Week for the week ending Oct. 18, and the University of Mobile had four athletes honored. Satsuma native Jacob Morgan was named the Men's Golf Player of the Week for his showing at the NAIA Preview Invitational.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team dropped its second straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference contest, dropping a 1-3 decision to No. 12 William Carey University Tuesday evening. The loss came on the heels of a 1-0 overtime defeat against another NAIA Top-25 club, Belhaven College. The Rams (5-8, 1-2) return to action Saturday, Oct. 24 at home when they host Auburn University-Montgomery at 7 pm. Jason Williams made 7 saves and allowed 3 goals in the loss for Mobile.

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team fell 1-0 in overtime at No. 24 Belhaven College in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Saturday. Mobile out-shot Belhaven 12-6 and held an 11-3 edge in corner kicks taken, but could not put find the back of the net. The Rams had struggled to score all season, but tallied seven goals in a 2-game stretch at LSU-Shreveport and Northwood. That momentum did not carry over.
