MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2010 SSAC Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams, and the 7th-ranked University of Mobile was well-represented. Deshorn Brown was tabbed SSAC Freshman of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Player of the Year after tallying 18 goals and 5 assists in his first year of collegiate soccer. Five of those goals were game-winners.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the pairings for the 31 qualifiers for the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Sunday. Thirty teams will compete in fifteen National Championship Opening Round matches Nov. 20, while the University of Mobile (15-3-2) gets an automatic bid to the Round of 16 at the final site Nov. 29 - Dec. 4 in Orange Beach, Ala. This marks the Rams' 4th straight trip to nationals and 14th overall. Mobile is 20-13 overall at nationals and won it all in 2002.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team ousted Southern Poly 2-0 to win the 2010 SSAC Men's Soccer Tournament Championship Saturday. Mobile (15-3-2) will next play in the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Nov. 29 - Dec. 4 in Orange Beach, Ala. Southern Poly out shot Mobile 11-7 and held a 6-3 edge in shots on target, but the Mobile defense held up and the Mobile offense used a pair of free kicks to score.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blasted Shorter University 4-1 in the SSAC Semifinals Thursday. Mobile (14-3-2) will advance to the SSAC Finals Saturday at 7:30 pm versus Southern Poly at the Gulfport Sportsplex. Mobile dominated from the get-go with a 12-4 shot advantage in the opening half and two first-half goals.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team defeat defending SSAC Champion Lee University 2-1 in the opening round of the SSAC Tournament Saturday. Mobile (13-3-2) advances to the rest of the SSAC Tournament, which will take place Nov. 11-13 in Gulfport, Miss.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's and women's soccer teams have had impressive regular seasons, and will be awarded for that Saturday, when they get to play at home in the opening round of the SSAC Tournament. The University of Mobile is the only school hosting men's and women's soccer games, as the 14th-ranked Lady Rams will host Southern Wesleyan at 5 pm, followed by the 8th-ranked men's team playing host to Lee University at 7:30 pm.

MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the OnePath Systems SSAC Players of the Week Monday, and Mobile's Deshorn Brown was named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Brown and the 11th-ranked Rams went 2-0 on the week in a pair of SSAC West Division games to improve to 4-0-1 and wrap up the No. 1 seed in the division.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 11th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated Spring Hill College 1-0 Saturday at Library Field to close out the 2010 regular season. Mobile improves to 4-0-1 in SSAC West Division play and assures itself of either the 1st or 2nd seed. That means Mobile will the #3 or #4 seed from the SSAC East Division Saturday, Nov. 6 in the opening round of the SSAC Tournament. The Rams are 12-3-2 overall.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 11th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blasted Auburn University-Montgomery 4-1 in SSAC West Division action Tuesday afternoon. Mobile sits alone in 1st in the SSAC West standings with a 3-0-1 conference mark and 11-3-2 overall record. The opening round of the SSAC Championships will take place Nov. 6 at the site of the highest seed.

PENSACOLA, Fla-- The 10th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team battled NCAA-II University of West Florida to overtime Thursday, but fell 2-3 to the Argos. Mobile (10-3-2, 2-0-1) will next play at conference foe Auburn University-Montgomery Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 3 pm. The Rams actually had to rally from two goals down to force overtime, and they did that, tallying a pair of second-half goals after UWF jumped ahead 2-0 in the opening half.
