UMobile Women Fall By Five At Xavier

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 53-58 at non-conference foe Xavier University Tuesday evening.  Mobile (3-5) visits Southern Wesleyan Friday at 5:30 pm for a Southern States Athletic Conference contest. Shontae Dillon led Mobile with 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Briana Edwards added 13 points and six boards.

Lady Rams Fall Late At Birmingham Southern

BIRMINGHAM, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 56-58 at NCAA-III Birmingham Southern Tuesday evening. Mobile (3-4) will visit non-conference foe Xavier University Nov. 27 at 5 pm. Deonica McCormick tallied 18 points and 6 steals to lead Mobile, while Briana Edwards finished with 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting.

Lady Rams Fall 52-59 To Brenau

MOBILE, Ala-- Poor shooting doomed the University of Mobile women's basketball team to a 59-52 loss to visiting Brenau Saturday afternoon at Pharr Gymnasium. Mobile (3-3, 1-1) visits Birmingham Southern Tuesday at 6 pm. The Lady Rams shot only 27% (17-64) from the floor, while Brenau shot 31% (18-58).

Lady Rams Use Strong 2nd Half To Beat Brewton

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team used a strong second half to take down visiting Brewton-Parker 64-43 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Friday evening. Mobile (3-2, 1-0) hosts Brenau University Saturday at 3 pm. Deonica McCormick led Mobile with 15 points, Briana Edwards added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Courtney Bayliss finished with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting.

Lady Rams Fall 71-83 At No. 22 Bethel

MCKENZIE, Tenn.-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team got out-rebounded 53-22 and fell 71-83 at 22nd-ranked Bethel University Saturday evening in non-conference action. Mobile (2-1) will visit Southeastern Louisiana University Tuesday at 7 pm. Bethel finished with a 17-4 edge in offensive boards and a 36-18 edge in defensive rebounds. The Wildcats' Jackliann Street (27 points and 12 rebounds) and Perica Glenn (12 points and 14 rebounds) combined for more boards than UMobile had as a unit.

Lady Rams Move To 2-0 With 82-73 Win

MCKENZIE, Tenn-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team defeated Martin Methodist University 82-73 at the Rotary Classic Friday. Mobile (2-0) will battle host Bethel University Saturday at 4 pm. Deonica McCormick led the Lady Rams with 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting, while Shontae Dillon and Christy Roewe each added 12 points and Briana Edwards finished with 10 points and 8 boards.

Lady Rams Drop Exhibition Game At Southern Mississippi

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 54-77 at NCAA-I University of Southern Mississippi in an exhibition contest. Mobile was led by Deonica McCormick with 18 points, while Briana Edwards added 12 points and 9 rebounds and Leana Tajkov finished with 10 points. Tajkov went 5-of-9 from the floor, while McCormick was 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.

2012-13 SSAC Women's Basketball Rankings Released

NORCROSS, Ga. – The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2012 Women’s Basketball Coaches Preseason Poll, on Friday, November 2nd. The coaches poll consisted of the head coach from each institution ranking the SSAC overall and their schools division. Lee University topped the ranks with 196 points followed by Faulkner with 173 and Loyola in a close third with 170. Divisionally, Lee topped the East with 55 points followed by Emmanuel with 45. In the West, Faulkner narrowed out Loyola by a margin of three points, 34 and 31 respectively.
