UMobile Receives SSAC End of the Year Awards

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile had some student-athletes and employees honored with the release of the 2013 Southern States Athletic Conference End of the Year Awards. Former men's soccer player Stephen Okai was tabbed the SSAC Male Athlete of the Year and Dr. Melissa Thomas was named the SSAC Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Stephen Okai Drafted 31st In 2013 MLS SuperDraft

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind-- The University of Mobile's Stephen Okai was selected 31st overall by the Philadelphia Union in the 2nd round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft Thursday. Okai, the 2012 Select Sport America-NAIA Men's Soccer National Player of the Year was a three-time NAIA All-American with the Rams in four seasons.

Former Ram Deshorn Brown Picked 6th In MLS SuperDraft

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- Former University of Mobile men's soccer player Deshorn Brown was picked 6th overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids Thursday. A native of Jamaica, Brown spent two seasons at UMobile before transferring to the University of Central Florida for the 2012 season, where he tallied 13 goals in 16 games.

Pair Of Former Rams Involved In MLS Pre-draft Process

MOBILE, Ala-- The 2013 MLS SuperDraft will take place Jan. 17 at 11 am CST, and a pair of former University of Mobile soccer players have been involved in the pre-draft process. Deshorn Brown signed a Generation adidas deal, and is taking part in the 2013 MLS Player Combine along with Stephen Okai.

UMobile 16th In NAIA Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND – The University of Mobile (AL) is 16th in the second set of Learfield Sports Directors' Cup fall standings. Olivet Nazarene (IL) leads after collecting 258.00 total points after finishing second in women’ soccer, third in women’s cross country, ninth in men’s soccer and 22nd overall in men’s cross country.

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile's Stephen Okai was named Select Sport America-NAIA Men's Soccer National Player of the Year, and was joined as an NAIA All-American by Chris Dillon and Gaetan Massiah, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Monday.

Rams Fall To Blazers In 2012 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- No. 11 seed University of Mobile fell 0-2 to 12th-seeded Belhaven University in the 2012 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship, presented by Carrabba's Italian Grill. Mobile (17-5-2) was making its fourth trip to the finals all-time and first since winning it all in 2002. Belhaven (19-4-1) won its second NAIA National Championship and first since 1992.

UMobile Men Advance To NAIA National Championship Game

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - No. 12 seed Mobile (Ala.) saved the best until last in the second semifinal match of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship, presented by Carrabba's Italian Grill. The Rams scored two goals in the games' final nine minutes to escape with a 2-1 victory against No. 7 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) today from the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex.

Men's Soccer NAIA Semifinal Primer

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 11th-seeded University of Mobile men's soccer team will play in its second Semifinals in three years Friday at 2:30 pm when they do battle against 7th-seed MidAmerica Nazarene. The other Semifinal game will pit No. 1 Lindsey Wilson against No. 12 Belhaven at noon. The Championship game will take place Saturday at 3 pm in Montgomery. The Rams are 3-3 all-time in the Semis, MidAmerica is appearing for the first time, Lindsey Wilson is 9-3 and Belhaven is 1-0-1.

UMobile Men Advance To NAIA Semifinals

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 11th-seeded University of Mobile men's soccer team advanced to its second Semifinals in three years with a 3-2 win over Concordia (Calif.) in the Quarterfinals of the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship. Mobile (16-4-2) will face the winner of Auburn-Montgomery and MidAmerica Nazarene Friday at 2:30 pm.
