Blazers Take Final Two From Rams

MOBILE, Ala-- Belhaven University swept the University of Mobile by 9-4 and 11-6 scores Saturday in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference baseball action.

In game one, the Rams grabbed an early lead, but Belhaven put up a 4-spot in the 3rd and then tacked on at least one run in each of the final four innings to win the 7-inning contest 9-4.

Lady Rams Drop Four At Faulkner Invite

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 18th-ranked University of Mobile softball team finished the Faulkner University Invitational by dropping a pair of games versus NAIA Top-25 teams Saturday. Mobile fell to 12th-ranked Shorter College 3-2 to open the day and then dropped an 8-1 decision to 22nd-ranked Auburn University-Montgomery to cap the tournament.

UM Women Blast Dillard In GCAC Play

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 18th-ranked University of Mobile softball team swept a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader from Dillard University Friday, winning 14-0 and 16-1 in a pair of run-rule victories.

Kamaron Strickland tossed a no-hitter in the opener, fanning 11 in 5 innings of work. She missed perfection due to an error from the Mobile defense.

Mobile Drops Friday Twinbill To Blazers

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team dropped both ends of a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader at home to Belhaven University Friday, falling 3-0 in the opener, and dropping the finale 16-6.

Mobile (10-18, 4-12) and Belhaven (22-6, 14-2) finish off the series with another 1 pm doubleheader Saturday at Mobile.

UM Women Defeat NCAA III Foe

MOBILE, Ala-- The 25th-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team downed NCAA III Millsaps College 6-3 Monday afternoon. The Lady Rams led 2-1 after doubles play after the teams of Zelie Pfeiffer-Rachel Hartley and Claudia Borges-Nancy Machen picked up 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.
