JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team won 65-59 at Southern States Athletic Conference rival Belhaven University Thursday evening. Mobile (11-6, 5-4) visits William Carey University Saturday at 4 pm. Kwame Beard led the Rams with 12 points and 12 rebounds, Marcus Polnett added 11 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the free throw line, and both Brandon Morris and Julien Sargent finished with 10 points.

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team finished the game on an 18-2 run to beat Southern States Athletic Conference rival Belhaven University 60-44 Thursday evening. Mobile (10-8, 5-4) visits William Carey (7-9, 3-6) Saturday at 2 pm. Briana Edwards led the Lady Rams with 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting, and she added 13 boards for a double-double.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind-- The University of Mobile's Stephen Okai was selected 31st overall by the Philadelphia Union in the 2nd round of the 2013 MLS SuperDraft Thursday. Okai, the 2012 Select Sport America-NAIA Men's Soccer National Player of the Year was a three-time NAIA All-American with the Rams in four seasons.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-- Former University of Mobile men's soccer player Deshorn Brown was picked 6th overall in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft by the Colorado Rapids Thursday. A native of Jamaica, Brown spent two seasons at UMobile before transferring to the University of Central Florida for the 2012 season, where he tallied 13 goals in 16 games.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 2013 MLS SuperDraft will take place Jan. 17 at 11 am CST, and a pair of former University of Mobile soccer players have been involved in the pre-draft process. Deshorn Brown signed a Generation adidas deal, and is taking part in the 2013 MLS Player Combine along with Stephen Okai.
