No. 23 Lady Rams Defeat Montevallo

MONTEVALLO, Ala-- The 23rd-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team defeated NCAA II University of Montevallo 5-4 Friday afternoon.
 

The Lady Rams (14-4, 8-4) host Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foe Loyola University-New Orleans Saturday at 10 am.
 

Mobile picked up a pair of wins in doubles play to take a 2-1 lead, and then cruised in the top three singles spots to take the match.
 

Zelie Pfeiffer - Rachel Hartley won at No. 1 doubles for Mobile, while Claudia Borges - Nancy Machen won at No. 3 doubles.
 

In singles play, Borges won 6-1, 6-0, Pfeiffer won 7-5, 6-0 and Hartley won 6-0, 6-2.
