MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team had a trio of runners compete at the 2009 Mobile Rampage Saturday on the University of Mobile campus.
A team needs five runners to qualify as a team, so Mobile did not have a team score, but the individual runners that ran in the meet showed improvement.
"We had some improvement on the girls' side," Head Coach Holly Person said. "It was a good race overall."
Joanna Canning finished at No. 16 with a time of 24:00 to pace the Lady Rams. Chynna Lee clocked in at 25:29 for an 18th-place finish and Tiffany Tindall finished 19th with a time of 25:40.
"Chynna Lee really stepped up for us," Person said. "She's been battling injury and illness and performed very well."
Spring Hill was the top team in the meet with 32 points and a time of 1:45:18. The Lady Badgers' Kate Imwalle finished 1st with a time of 19:19.
