ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 9th-seeded University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated No. 8 seed Belhaven University 4-3 in the second round of the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championships Tuesday evening at the Orange Beach Sportsplex in Orange Beach, Ala. Mobile (16-3-2) advances to the Round of 8 and will face Bethel University (Tenn.) Wednesday at 7:30 pm at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The Rams out shot Belhaven 23-11 and finished with a 10-5 edge in shots on frame.

Monday in second round action of the 27th Annual NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship at Jack Allen Complex. The Lady Flames, now 19-2-1, move into Wednesday's quarterfinals and will face the winner of the seventh-seeded Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and 10th-seeded Robert Morris (Ill.) match at 4:30 p.m. CST. With the loss, Mobile exits its fifth trip to the event and closes out its season, finishing with a 13-7-1 record.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team had several student-athletes honored by the SSAC, as the conference released the 2010 SSAC Volleyball All-Conference Teams. Kelly Sherling was named to the All-Conference team after leading the Lady Rams with 361 kills, good for 3.5 kills per set. The senior hit .209 and added 167 digs and 40 blocks. MOBILE, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the OnePath Systems SSAC Players of the Week Monday, and Mobile's Deshorn Brown was named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Brown and the 11th-ranked Rams went 2-0 on the week in a pair of SSAC West Division games to improve to 4-0-1 and wrap up the No. 1 seed in the division.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 8th place after round one of the University of Mobile Fall Classic at Heron Lakes Country Club Monday. Shorter University leads the field after carding a +3 291, while the Rams fired a 25-over 313. Fellow SSAC schools Lee (2nd, 302), Faulkner (4th, 303) and William Carey (5th, 304) sit in front of the Rams.
