The Lady Rams finished with a 53-over 629 in the two-round tournament to beat Spring Hill by 51 strokes after the Badgers finished with a 104-over 680. William Carey finished 3rd with a 746.

MOBILE, Ala-- Sam Mahoney's walk-off grand slam finished off an impressive power display for the University of Mobile baseball team and sent the team past William Carey 8-4 Friday in SSAC West action. After the Crusaders tied the game at 4-4 with 2 runs on 3 hits in the top of the 9th, Mahoney and the Rams went to work in the bottom half of the inning. Following two walks and a single, Mahoney stepped up to the plate and cranked a 3-1 pitch over the right field fence for the game-winner. It was his 4th home run of the year.

In just two seasons with the Lady Rams, she has racked up 252 blocks to place 1st on the career list at Mobile.

Jacobs began his collegiate coaching career in 1990 when he started the UMobile baseball program, and he has racked up a 700-443-2 record in his 21+ years at Mobile. The Lady Rams close the season with a 17-11 record. Senior Adrienne Mackay led Mobile with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 14 rebounds, while Alice Honnery finished with 7 points and 11 boards. Regina Jackson led Belhaven with 22 points, thanks to a 4-of-7 effort from 3-point range.

Mobile (8-3) hosts Notre Dame College for a 4 pm double header Thursday, Mar. 3. Victoria Buie earned the win in the opener, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits in an 8-inning effort, while fanning 6 batters.

2011 Volleyball Training Team Update

The Training Team start is just around the corner! We will begin on Monday, March 14^th at 6pm, and times and dates are for all ages. As we’ve done in the past, our practices will be Mondays and Tuesdays, 6:00pm-7:30pm, for the 8 consecutive weeks. We will work around spring break, meaning we will either break for one week if everyone is on the same schedule or we will add an additional week to the training so that everyone can get in their 8 weeks.
