Miss UM Pageant Set for Feb. 4

The University of Mobile will hold the Miss UM 2012 Pageant Saturday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. at Saraland High School Auditorium. Tickets will be $5 at the door for UMobile students with a student ID and $10 for the general public.

UMobile Opera Theater Presents Comic Masterpiece ‘Die Fledermaus’ Performed in English

The University of Mobile Opera Theater will present Johann Strauss’ comic masterpiece Die Fledermaus (The Bat), on Feb. 16 and 17. Originally written in German, this production will be performed in English featuring student singers and a mix of student and professional orchestra members.

Influence Lecture Series to Feature Jon Acuff

The University of Mobile will host renowned author and blogger Jon Acuff as part of its “Influence” Lecture Series on March 13 at 9 p.m. in Ram Hall on the university campus. Seating will be first-come, first-served for UMobile students.

Life Lessons: UMobile Education Students Teach in Uganda

The sound of singing echoed from a small village school in rural Uganda. The voices grew louder as people came running eagerly from their homes to join in the song they had learned from four University of Mobile students the day before. The song resounded down the dirt-trodden paths: “Yes, Jesus loves me, yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so!” The UMobile students were visiting the school as part of a 10-day project in northern Uganda.

Legacy of Liberty: UMobile Students Visit Washington, D.C.
