UMobile Opera Theater Presents ‘Opera on Air’

The University of Mobile Opera Theater will present “Opera on Air” April 29 and 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Upper Room Theater in Martin Hall on the university campus. “Opera on Air” is inspired by Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief.” University of Mobile students will treat audiences to a mock radio broadcast featuring a full presentation of “The Old Maid and the Thief” along with selections from the greatest works of 20th century American musical drama, including, “Candide,” “Susannah,” “Sweeney Todd,” and “The Devil and Daniel Webster.”

The University of Mobile has released the President’s List for the 2010 fall academic period. In order to make President’s List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade point average while taking at least 15 semester hours.
