The University of Mobile’s new art gallery is hosting “Neutral,” part of the 1X4: Analogy art exhibition taking place at four venues in Mobile now through Sept. 20. A reception is set for Sept. 19.
The exhibition focuses on four color themes: “Neutral” at University of Mobile, “Green” at Alabama School of Math and Science, “Yellow” at Spring Hill College, and “Blue” at University of South Alabama. The exhibition is organized by local art professor Wanda Sullivan.
Each school will hold individual receptions, with the final reception at the University of Mobile on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6-8 p.m. in the new Ben May College of Arts & Sciences building. This is the first exhibit to be held in the new gallery.
“Neutral” will feature works by local artists and art professors including University of Mobile graduate April Livingston, Pieter Favier, Margo Andrews, Kate Seawell, Lucy Gafford, Margarita Skiadas, Stephen Savage, Rene Culler, Devlin Wilson, Grant Benoit, Anna Cavnar, Charles Smith, Leigh Brown, Megan Gulland and Jami Buck.
