UMobile Grad, Cross Country Coach Runs in London Marathon for Charity

April 17th would normally be an off day for cross country coaches, but it will be a big day for University of Mobile alumnus and men's and women's cross country coach Alastair Stevenson. Stevenson will run in the London Marathon, which is a 26.2 mile run through the streets of London and finishes outside Buckingham Palace.

Beyond Devastation: F5 Tornado Survivor Speaks to Stormchasing Students

Nine University of Mobile honors students are preparing to embark on a week-long field experience in the midwestern United States with associate professor of biology and veteran stormchaser Steve Carey. The students will be seeking tornados, supercells and severe weather patterns in an upcoming field experience that is the culmination of a semester course on severe weather phenomena.

University of Mobile Upper Room Theatre Presents ‘The Music Man’ April 15-17

The University of Mobile Upper Room Theatre will present “The Music Man” April 15-17 at Saraland High School Performing Arts Center. The curtain goes up at 7 p.m. April 15 and 16 and the Sunday matinee begins at 2 p.m. Tickets may be purchased through the Upper Room Theatre box office at 251.442.2383.

UMobile Center for Leadership, Twelve23 Movement Subject of Public Affairs TV Show

Speak Up, a public affairs television show on WALA and WFNA, will spotlight the University of Mobile Center for Leadership and the Twelve23 Movement. Speak Up will air four times: on WALA on Saturdays at 11 a.m. on April 16 and April 30; and on sister station WFNA on Sundays at noon, April 17 and May 1.

UMobile Students to Participate in Collegiate Judicial Conference

University of Mobile will send a team to participate in the 2nd annual YMCA Collegiate Judicial Conference, to be held in Montgomery, Ala. , April 8-9. Participants will have the opportunity to try a mock case in front of an active or former judge, as either prosecution or defense, in one of the historic courthouses in downtown Montgomery in the Ceremonial court room.
