Center for Performing Arts Presents the Accento Trio in Concert
The University of Mobile Center for Performing Arts will present the Accento Trio, a flute-voice-piano ensemble, in concert Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in Moorer Auditorium on the university campus.

The Accento Trio is based at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., and gives concerts around the United States and abroad. The group plans to record their first CD this year.

Danilo Mezzadri, head of the flute department at the University of Southern Mississippi; Susan Ruggiero, adjunct voice and flute instructor at the University of Mobile, and pianist Elizabeth Moak make up the ensemble.

The Accento Trio offers an extensive variety of repertoire from Baroque music to American Broadway. Since its inception in 2007, the Accento Trio has performed in national and international venues such as the Natchez Opera Festival, Blue Lake Fine Arts Festival, la Scuola Musicale di Milano, and la Sala San Tommaso del Palazzo Boncompagni in Roccasecca, Italy.

The University of Mobile is a Christian university located in Mobile, Ala., on an 880-acre campus near Gulf Coast beaches.
