The University of Mobile Center for Leadership will host a Candidate Forum on Monday, Feb. 27, from 6-8:30 p.m. The public is invited to the free event, which will be held in Ram Hall on campus, 5735 College Pkwy., Mobile, AL 36613.
The following races will be represented: Mobile County Commission, Public Service Commission, Congressional District 1, Chief Justice State Supreme Court, and Alabama State School Board District 1.
Quin Hillyer, nationally syndicated columnist and writer-in-residence for UMobile, will serve as emcee. Dr. Lou Campomenosi, adjunct instructor at UMobile and Tulane University, will serve with UMobile students on a moderator panel.
Dr. Joe Savage, director of the UMobile Center for Leadership, said, “In a time when elections at every level are critical to our nation’s health, the Center for Leadership is excited to host a candidate forum. We hope to help Mobile and Baldwin county voters get an up-close look at the candidates and the issues they stand for, so that voters can be informed and encouraged to vote according to their values.”
