The University of Mobile has increased the number of undergraduate students while maintaining overall enrollment at about last year’s level for Fall Semester 2012, school officials announced today. Campus housing is filled and additional campus apartments will be completed in November.
School officials had anticipated the increase in traditional undergraduate student resulting from recruitment and marketing efforts such as sponsorship of the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, a nation-wide Christian concert tour.
UMobile’s total non-duplicating headcount of traditional undergraduate students rose by 41 students from last year, to 1,344. Overall non-duplicating headcount for all programs is 1,788, with 10 fewer students than last fall. Enrollment in Graduate Programs fell by 27 students to 170, and in the Center for Adult Programs by 24 students to 274.
Campus housing is filled with 595 students. When The Timbers apartment-style house is completed later this fall, the university will have capacity for 655 campus residents.
