The University of Mobile will host the 2012 Sporting Clay Shoot on Friday, Oct. 12 to support the men’s baseball program. The shoot is at Taylor Creek Shooting Preserve in Theodore, Ala., starting at 8 a.m. Register online

Registration ends Wednesday, Oct. 3. One shooter may enter for $125 and a squad may enter for $500. Fees cover 100 clay targets, t-shirts, and lunch. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet Joe Espada, a graduate of the University of Mobile and third base coach for the Florida Marlins. Sponsorship opportunities for the tournament are available beginning at $100. All proceeds benefit the UMobile men’s baseball program.
